Your Association Needs You

In order that the committee may be able to continue to function effectively we urgently need more members to join who can be co-opted in accordance with rule 14 in our constitution (see website home page at the page bottom for a copy).
Any resident is a member of the association if they have paid the annual subscription for the current year, and we would urge those of you who wish to see an active and vibrant association to come forward as soon as possible. If you want to be involved, come along to our next meeting.

The committee meets on the FIRST TUESDAY MONTHLY, except August when a meeting is not held, in the Methodist Church Hall, Huntingfield, starting at 8pm. The AGM is in May each year-Venue & times will be notified on this page in advance.

Notice is hereby given that the AGM of the Addington Residents Association
will be held in the Addington Methodist Church Hall, Huntingfield on
Tuesday 29th May 2018 at 8.00pm.

In response to complaints that the site is operating outside the permitted hours of 8am
to 5.30pm Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 12pm on a Saturday, no operations are
permitted at all on Sundays or Bank Holidays, the Environment Agency have
provided a 24hr Hotline Number 0800 80 70 60and requested that local residents
report to them any skip lorries that they have good reason to believe are likely to be
entering or leaving the site outside these permitted hours. Provision of the vehicle's
registration number or company name would be most useful but not essential.

The Environment Agency have also nominated as a specific contact the Team Leader
responsible for their control of the site, Rob Wise direct line telephone number
to deal directly with any concerns our members may have regarding
activities which they may feel are outside of the terms of the Licence, these would
include the burning of material on site, car breaking, handling of vehicle tyres and the
transporting of any materials onto the site other than building site waste.
